Creative thinking!

I have been brain storming with a friend, Camille about some craft things I could try out. She also has some pretty cool crafts you can check out at http://camillescasa.blogspot.com/. I decided I wanted to try barbie clothes. Everyone I talked to said they are really hard. It was a little challenging but I think I did pretty good for my first time. Tell me what you think? Would you buy these or something similar? And how much would you pay? It took me a hour and 15 min for the dress but I think I could do it faster and 2 hours for pants and shirt. I don't think these are the greatest but I think I can improve.

Toy Story Birthday Cards

I wanted to make my boy's birthday cards this year. We are having a toy story theme this year. He really loves toy story but I didn't want it to be all about Buzz and Woody. My son also really likes guitars and I wanted to make a guitar cake this year so I wanted the card to have a little something from each thing and this is what I came up with. It's not as cute as I wanted it but it will do. My favorite is the guitar. What do you think? I will post the cake and decorations when the party is over.

Skirt

I looked every where for a dress and I couldn't find one. So, I decided I would just make a skirt with this nice top. It turned out pretty good. I just used a simplicity pattern and made my own changes and added the ribbon. I worn it a couple sundays ago when my husband and I gave our talks in church. Tell me what you think. I have started another and will post it soon.

Here's the skirt up close.

More Project From Boise Trip

The main project I helped my sister-in-law is finally finished. We refinished a hutch. It had three layers of paint on it. We sanded it all they way down. That was the part that I helped with the most. It was missing glass and I suggested using chicken wire. I also suggested putting in her can fruit. She did all the hard work though. She painted it black and the ruffed it up with the sander. I think it really turned out great.

While we were working on the hutch my brother was working on this cabinet for their bathroom. I think it also turned out great.
